After quitting smoking, some days feel slower than usual. Jumping rope gets your circulation going, activates your body and provides a quick burst of energy.

Energy often comes from movement, not waiting.

If you're tired, sluggish or unfocused, a quick bout of rope jumping can help you wake up again.

Why jumping rope wakes you up

Jumping rope activates many muscle groups at the same time and increases heart rate and breathing within a few seconds. This makes the body more alert and the feeling of tiredness often fades into the background.

In addition, the movement breaks up long periods of sitting and brings new dynamism to the day.

This is how you use the energy boost

Place the skipping rope visibly and use it when your energy levels are low:

- Jump for 30 seconds - 30 second break - Repeat 2 to 3 rounds

Just one or two minutes can be enough to stimulate circulation and clear your head again.

The easier it is to get started, the more likely exercise will become your new source of energy.
